Ayleen Gomez Lopez, MA, LPC, LMHC
For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a counselor - to offer people a safe, comfortable space to talk through whatever was going on in their life. I lucked out (truly!) and knew exactly what I wanted to study as soon as I started college. A few years later, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University in Miami, FL. Always eager to learn more, I later obtained my Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri - Kansas City and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri since 2011. In 2022, I obtained an LPC in Arkansas and as of 2024, I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida.
I’ve been fortunate to have worked extensively with a variety of populations, including those experiencing depression, anxiety, and psychosis. I feel especially passionate about working with people undergoing infertility, depression, and anxiety. As a military spouse, I also have first-hand knowledge of some of the unique challenges faced by service members and their families. I use various evidence-based treatments when providing counseling, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy among others.

Every now and then, you might catch a glimpse of my two four-legged office mates, Sophie and Rocket. They usually snooze quietly by my desk during sessions, but they’re always happy to make an appearance if you'd like to say hello. Just ask — they love brightening someone’s day!
